Life happens with us, to us, and around us. It can tangle our thoughts and feelings with expectations and disappointment, leaving us unsure about how to take care of our mental well-being.
Spotting the Signs You Might Need Support
Mental health struggles don't always come with clear warning signs. Change is often progressive and small, that adds up over time making it hard to notice just how badly we are struggling. Spotting the signs that you might need support can get you the help you need earlier:
Trouble falling or staying asleep
Feeling tense, restless, or irritable
Racing thoughts or difficulty concentrating
Distressing thoughts or images
Changes in appetite (over or under eating)
Feeling constantly overwhelmed or on edge
Guilt, shame, or low self-esteem
Isolation or disconnection from others
Mood swings, sadness, or emotional numbness
Relationship issues (work, home, school, self)
Changes in social/romantic desire (craving more or less connection with others)
Therapy can help you begin to feel like yourself again.
Reaching out for help can be one of the hardest parts of the journey, and I applaud your bravery in taking these first steps.
At The Wellness Hub, we will explore what is working for you and what is not; we will gain clarity of your needs, the direction you want your life to take, and what is needed to get you there.
